As an avid runner myself I found this Nike campaign very alluring and I'm quite tempted to do it. The Nike Grid game begins at 8pm tomorrow and you have 24 hours to run as far as you can through the 40 London postcodes that make up 'The Grid'.
Download the map from the site to get your unique 4 digit code. Then slip on your lycra, start running and check in at each point by entering your 4 digit code at the phone boxes at each postcode. There are badges for speed, endurance and stamina over the event, with the whole thing tracked and broadcast through Facebook.
They may have missed out on lot of runners due to the Marathon this weekend... great idea but maybe bad timing?
I came across illustrationfriday.com while on the search for an illustrator. Check it out on Fridays (tomorrow) - they set a topic then give artists a week to explore the theme and upload their creative gems.
D&AD has partnered with YouTube to create a channel where people can upload videos of commercial creativity, they also invite guest editors to select their favourites.
They are calling this the 'Inspirational channel'. I'd prefer to trawl the talent of the less polished, on a shoe string, non commercial offerings myself.
A humorous and cheeky way of raising awareness of colorectal cancer amongst young people. Once on the site you're taken through a few hard facts about colorectal cancer before being prompted to take a photocopy of your bum and send it to your friends (or enemies!) .
What a creative way to raise awareness of such a serious topic.
