Welcome to the jungle

A pile of breeze blocks cleverly organised to represent a city. This South Bank structure is inspired Morrinho, an ever-growing social project that takes the form of a miniature city built by the young people of Rio de Janeiro from found material.

Awareness of Global projects such as this usually reaches people via the Internet, this is why I Love London.

Elephant Parade

I spotted trunky on South Bank this weekend, he's one of 257 elephants dotted around London to raise awareness and money for the endangered Asian elephant. The conservation project by www.elephantfamily.org is London’s biggest art event on record. Each elephant is decorated by a celebrity or Artist and they are up for auction on the 18th June, so if you find one that fits in with your decor you can bid for it online.

Everyone young and old seemed delighted with there presence, here's hoping the interest shapes a new generation of conservationists.
