Vauxhall features competition winner in Corsa ad
I saw this TV campaign for Corsa this morning, the advert features the winner of a social media campaign by Vauxhall. Consumers were invited to mock up photographs of themselves in a pop art style which were then rated by fans and visitors. I love how this brand has drawn attention to itself, not by highlighting the product but by drawing attention to the brand by content created through social media.

Class Portrait by Anna Brooks and Samantha Harvey, Kingston University, BA (Hons) Graphic Design & Photography
D&AD's Best New Blood was at the The Old Truman Brewery last week, if you missed it you can find the full list of Best New Blood 2010 at D&AD New Blood
Due to the growth of the digital world within advertising I was expecting to see a large amount After Effects and Cinema Pro used within the motion graphics, however I was pleasantly greeted with stop motion and illustration. Posters were bold typographic screen prints, illustration was painstakingly inventive and photography was simple and striking (see above)
Although I now have a career in advertising, my portfolio post degree was a combination of illustration and stop motion video, I have to work a lot quicker these days and mostly on the mac, the show was a nice reminder of award winning experimental creativity.

Another great idea from Skoda
The clever people at Skoda have created a (seemingly) interactive experience using simple adverts across clever media space. This advert to promote their Skoda Superb Estate is simply brilliant.

3D projection mapping
Samsung invite you into their al fresco living room to view the amazing 3D projection mapping display. The installation in Amsterdam is to promote their new range of 3D LED TV’s. The 3D perspective is awesome!

Glass talent
What a beautiful ad from Skoda, not sure if it will shift the cars from the courts, but Petr Spatina is very talented... where do I buy the album?
