Performance Storytelling

Black-feathered tricksters, nursery rhymes, superstition, folklore, shabby slippers, and a bowl of dirty feet water, all featured in the tales told at the barbican last night, as part of their 'Views from Above' Performance Storytelling.

Jo Blake and Dominic Kelly combined voice, gesture and music to evoke a story, as the bare stage was quickly filled with fanciful images from my imagination. I enjoyed the performance very much, which goes to show you're never too old for a bedtime story.
